Coffee Break, graphite & marker on bristol, 12 x 19", 2011. |
This illustration was inspired by the photos in street-style blogs. My very favorite blogger is Garance Dore (I don't know how to make the accent over the e...). She's hilarious, and she's also an illustrator; her illustrations are a lot of fun!
I had a hard time photographing this one; details are hard to see, so here's a close-up:
I LOVE this! The gorgeous colours contrasting with the pencil lines...so beautiful :) and Garance is my favourite too! :)
ReplyDeleteLovely colors! Garance Dore is a great source for inspiration photography/illustrations

ReplyDeleteSarah this is so cool! I like that when I first opened the blog page I only saw the yellow red and pink and I had NO IDEA what the drawing was…and I sat for a few econds thinking about what it could be but the suspense was killing me so I scrolled down...such a great idea. I really like the close up of the details too.
ReplyDeleteI like the color/ black and white relationship. I think that it makes for a wonderful drawing. Not to detract from it at all, but, i just have to say:
ReplyDeletethat isn't a very practical garment there...
